Reasons to buy from Trailcrest Farm
Trailcrest Farm is your best source of locally raised, fresh, tasty, 100% pure Black Angus Beef products.
“Angus” refers to beef that comes from the Aberdeen Angus cow. Originally from Scotland, it’s a sturdier breed that produces meat with a higher marbling content (a.k.a., those white lines of fat that make your meat taste so good.)
Angus beef contains an amazing source of iron as well as zinc which is essential for growth metabolism. The meat also contains a good dose of vitamins B12 and essential nutrient Niacin. There are approximately 21 grams of protein in three ounces of the meat. Our Black Angus cows eat only grass and what they forage in the woods on our family farm located in Strasburg Pennsylvania.

Meet The Family!
The Landis Family has been farming for generations. Take a moment to get to know us...
Rich and Edie Landis inherited the family farm with barn and farmhouse at 4 Little Beaver
Road, Strasburg from Rich’s parents in the 1990s. Their first project was to clean out the farmhouse and update this late 18th Century 2-story log house so it could be used as a Bed & Breakfast for visitors to Lancaster County. The Homeplace at Trailcrest Farm opened in October of 2003 and closed 13 years later when Rich and Edie’s oldest son and his wife moved into the farmhouse to raise their growing family. Soon after this move, it was decided that the old, worn out 18th century barn needed to come down before it fell down. But what should be done with all that beautiful old wood? The family’s friendship with David Abel took care of that question when he sent a crew to take down the barn to use in his Star Barn project in Elizabethtown PA! Today, Rich and Edie’s children and their spouses have expanded their herd of Black Angus cattle to share its goodness with more than their family.
