Title of Recipe: Spicy Chicken and Red Beans Rice Bowl
Ingredients Needed:
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon nutmeg
– 1 jar of pasta sauce
– 2 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
– 1 can of red beans, drained and rinsed
– 1/4 of a cabbage, chopped
– 2 cups of rice
– 1 teaspoon of marjoram
– Salt and pepper
– Olive oil
Recipe Instructions:
1. Begin by cooking the rice according to the package instructions. Once cooked, set it aside.
2. In a skillet, heat two tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about five minutes.
3. Add the chopped cabbage to the pan and cook for two minutes. Then add the can of red beans and continue cooking for an additional three minutes.
4. Pour the pasta sauce into the skillet and stir. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, marjoram, salt and pepper. Stir all ingredients until fully combined.
5. Reduce heat and allow the mixture to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
6. Once everything is cooked, it’s time to assemble your rice bowl. Simply add a scoop of rice to the bottom of your bowl and then pile on the chicken and red bean mixture on top. Serve hot and enjoy your spicy chicken and red beans rice bowl!
